Sinful, seductive, and scandalous.  Is there any other way to celebrate a crucifixion?  Russellette Productions fell nowhere short of producing a hellish night of pure indulgence and debauchery.
I had the pleasure of catching up with Lil’ Missy of the Cadillac Tramps before the show to get her thoughts and worries before their debut performance at the Salt Lounge on ‘Good’ Friday of 2006.

  • LondonINDIE: What are the biggest obstacles/worries before you go on stage tonight?
  • Lil’ Missy: Umm… falling, forgetting to take off my clothes (laughs) I don’t know I’m basically nervous for everyone up there, we all want to have a good time but it’s the fact that it’s our first show we’re all a bit nervous and worried that it will effect our sets.
  • LondonINDIE: Do you feel that the rest of the Cadillac Tramps have the choreography down and ready to perform?
  • Lil’ Missy:  For mine, not the first one no, a lot of the girls are winging it.
  • LondonINDIE: So there is a lot of improvisation included in tonight’s set?
  • Lil’ Missy: Yeah for the most part improv is a big part of tonight, some of the girls are working strictly off of choreography but then other sets are almost all improvisation.

I can definitely say that Lil’ Missy’s fears came nowhere close to true.  The Cadillac Tramps put on a professional show that could not be beat.  The combination of choreography and improvisation gave the show an interesting twist and added a pure Burlesque feel to the entire show.  The hilarious commentary in between each of the Tramps’ sets from none other than Furious Phil from the Terminal ‘Fuckin’ Wally’s added to the hot and raunchy night turning the Salt Lounge into a genuinely fucking raw burlesque house for that one Friday night.  To top the night off the Terminal Wally’s stole the light and stage to rock out some delightfully hellish Psychobilly beats ending the night off with a crowded stage and an even more crowded floor.  Lil’ Missy had a far from worried view on the show after the night was finished with a roaring crowd that was pounding on the tables with pints in hand just for another round.
An amazing part of the Cadillac Tramps Burlesque show was the huge turnout from nineteen up to mid-forties, totally destroying London’s very anal and stuffy age of majority and ‘hush hush’ attitude towards open sexuality and promiscuity.
