| :: Apricota Single by Lederhosen Lucil by: $var (Friday Lederhosen Lucil Apricota Single Apricota is Lederhosen's first vinyl release, and to commemorate such an event, she has hand crafted a fuzzy apricot cover, and pressed the album on stunning apricot wax. The 3 song demo is a bit of a take of from the fun antic's of LL's full length, Hosemusic. Apricota see's Lucil's songs mastered by Breakglass Studio, DH P-Love, and Kid Koala for a good blend of audio seriousness, and silly keyboard solos with the pitch bend effect. Each song is entertaining, and each one, in it's entirety, is well formulated song writing. Track Drei, Semi-Sweet, has an accompanying video (found at umbrellamusic.com) that is winning Lederhosen notoriety in more popular indie circuits. The creative video showcases LL baking, with her dougball buddies, a lot of flower, and some poison... the production of the video is great concidering it is a self funded endeavour. Lederhosen is a made up character, of course, but for such a cosmic oddity, she has a unique understanding of what making music is; she is fun to watch, and fun to listen to. Alter ego, Krita Muir, is clearly a talented song writer, and has an incredible head for music. Her lyrics are involved, and each line keeps you listening to what she is going to say next. Humour is her best weapon, and her wit helps her carve out irresistable chorus'. Based in Montreal, Lederhosen is on tour in Europe and Africa this month, and will be playing in Toronto and Hamilton next month. Check out her website for more details of when you can catch this enteraining act. |
