| :: Something Savvy @ Christina's Pub by: Andrew (Friday The place is small, but the atmosphere that SS creates at Christina's Pub (every Fri. @ 10:30) is welcoming and fun loving. SS want to make a connection with the audience, and yes they succeed. The opening night was filled with covers, split between the acoustic set followed by the "pump it up near the end" set. The highlight was the Beatle's "Across The Universe" and 2 Frente covers were a close second. SS shine as a rock band, and luckily their normal sets are focused on rocking out. To say I'm impressed is an understatement, SS provide an hour of good times to be shared by all. Not that one needs an incentive to catch their show, but I'll let you know anyway.... there is a Something Savvy bra. Yes, I'm serious. This bra, complete with sparkles, is awarded to the super savviest fan of the night. This fan wears the bra back the following week and in return the fan picks a topic of their choice that SS will compose a song around to sing to you! Awwww, how cute is that? You can't help but feel the love. The super savviest fan's name will also be placed on the band's website. So check out the winner this week as you're checking out the band. |
