Band influences range from indie to ska, blues to folk, motown to trance. Unwilling to succumb to the standard four-piece indie set up, instruments played include trumpet, violin, flute and bagpipes. Their 14 members occupy the stage, swapping instruments and dancing amongst the audience. No topic is out of bounds for the group’s 7 songwriters; love, sex, death and plate tectonics are all given airtime. Gigs to date have included Ginglik (Shepherds Bush), The Grosvenor (Stockwell), Café 1001 (Brick Lane), Bull and Gate (Kentish Town) and the Dry Bar (Barbican). Forthcoming gigs will take place in The Arts Theatre Club (Soho), Red Rooms (Piccadilly), Marquee Club (W1) and George Tavern (E1). ---- Discography: |
